Stamping
Diverse Capabilities
Bennett Tool & Die manufactures precision stampings for industrial markets. Production stamping is one of BTD’s largest departments today. Parts are stamped at each BTD location using coil and manual-fed lines. Volumes vary from tens of thousands to millions of parts annually.
BTD offers several stamping methods and works with a number of material types. Parts are stamped using progressive, stage, combination, and draw dies. Materials used include HRPO, cold rolled, stainless steels, electrical steels, draw quality steels, aluminum, and Inconel®.
Operating mechanical and hydraulic presses, a few of BTD’s stamped products include:
- Tank heads for consumer and industrial applications
- Close-tolerance components used in the transportation industry
- Custom steel laminations
- Compressor components
- Brackets, Clips, Covers, and Wheel Halves for recreational vehicles and lawn & garden equipment
- Household appliance products
- Refrigeration & heating equipment products
When part quantities aren’t quite large enough to justify stamping tooling, a combination of fabrication and stamping operations can be the answer to arrive at a competitive piece price. BTD’s broad mix of stamping and fabrication equipment, along with professional tool engineering, gives BTD a unique competitive advantage to find the right metal working solution for your application.
Finishing operations are provided at BTD and through supplier partners. In-house services include manual and automated part deburring, assembly, kitting, and parts cleaning. Heat treating, powder coat, E-Coat, & plating operations are provided through outside vendors.
